Cora Taylor disappeared 54 years ago, and no trace of her was ever found. Now her sister has enlisted the help of Andrea Flynn and Kathleen Williamson in finding out what happened to Cora. The more the sister sleuths investigate, the more complex the situation becomes. How did expensive jewelry end up in Cora’s possession? Who knew moonflowers were poisonous and stole them from Andrea’s deck? Was the Mafia involved somehow, and what about the accusations against a jealous wife? And when a second suspect is murdered, are the sisters and Mary in danger, too?

The Moon Mystery Series by Helen Haught Fanick is one of my favorite mystery series and "Moonflowers" is a wonderful addition to the series. I love following Kathleen and Andrea as they become involved in solving one mystery after the other.This time, one of their neighbors, Mary Taylor, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, has asked the sisters to look into the mysterious disappearance of her older sister, Cora, that happened many years ago. At first, Kathleen and Andrea don't hold out much hope of discovering what happened but they are determined to give it their best shot.
If you haven't read this series yet, I highly recommended you do!

I loved this book! I have read all the books in the Moon Mystery Series, and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. I can't decide on a favorite because they are all so interesting. The characters are like friends, and you are kept guessing "who did it" till the end. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Another great read by Ms. Franick. I really this series about the WV sisters who solve mysteries. The plot of this one started with a cold case murder and expanded to much more. I eagerly await the next in the series.
Terrific author and I've read most of her books. Especially this series with the two sisters playing amateur sleuths. They're fun and believable, more importantly, they're not young, gorgeous and super women. I like the setting too, they take place from my neck of the woods.
I believe this so far is the best of the series! I have enjoyed this series immensely. This story line is the most complex. I'd really like to see Kathleen's moon knowledge play a bigger part. These characters and the descriptions help complete this book.
Two engaging amateur detectives are drawn into solving a cold case of a missing woman- The detective sisters are wonderful small town characters, The plots twists and turns build to a suspenseful ending, A fun read for all.
These were some of the best cozy mysteries I’ve read. They kept me guessing until the end and I loved the 60-some-year-old sisters. It is so unusual to have “older” sleuths and portray them as multifaceted and intelligent. I love her writing style.
A woman missing for 54 years. Ghostly sightings. This book had me from the first page.
Elderly sisters Andrea and Kathleen are amateur sleuths in the small town of Pine Summit.
They are asked by the sister of the missing woman to find out what happened.
And so we, the readers, are off on another adventure with Andrea and Kathleen.
Lots of suspects, an inept sheriff. A real page turner!
This latest book in the Moon Mystery series is the best yet and I am looking forward to the next book.
